I know lots of Tenor Banjo players play Mandolin too, usually in secret at home, using the same fingering, same notes, same tunes, so I thought we should have a group here, for us to share our thoughts.

Here's a bunch of Mandolin Videos
I've started posting Video Clips on my Mandolin, of tunes for a learners group on the Mandolin Cafe Forum, so I thought I might as well post them here too, just in case anyone here might be interested in learning the tunes, or simply discussing them.
Feel free to post your own video or MP3 version of any of those tunes on their discussion thread.

Comment by Dick Glasgow on September 11, 2012 at 12:14am Just for you Grey Picker, here's a 2nd version, this time without the Fiddle & with more Mandolin & Concertina in the mix.
Cheers,
Dick
What a good, lively tune, Dick! Very well played, too! That has really started my day in a jaunty humour! More power!

Comment by Dick Glasgow on September 10, 2012 at 9:40am Here's a wee 4 part March, with a Scottish flavour, that I wrote for a Fiddle player from Oban who was over here on holiday last week. I play Mandolin on this, plus Fiddle, Nyckelharpa & English Concertina.

Comment by Dick Glasgow on January 29, 2012 at 1:12am Here are three tunes, a Hornpipe, Strathspey & Reel, that I composed in memory of the late Sam Stevenson of Broughshane, Co. Antrim, who was a very fine Fiddle maker & player. The tunes are, Sam Stevenson's, The Derry & Antrim Fiddlers & The braid Burn.
Cheers,
Dick
